Al-Quran & Winter
The Lord of the east and the west; none has the right to be worshipped but He. So take Him alone as a trustee. (73;9),
wherein they will be reclining on couches, feeling neither heat of the sun nor intense cold.
Quran & the real fact
Every soul has to taste death. It is on the Day of Judgement that you shall be paid your rewards in full. So, whoever has been kept away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has really succeeded. The worldly life is nothing but an illusionary enjoyment.
Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. (An-Nisa [4] : 78)

Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: The Angel Gabriel came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “O Muhammad, live as you wish, for you will surely die. Work as you wish, for you will surely be repaid. Love whomever you wish, for you will surely be separated. Know that the nobility of the believer is in prayer at night, and his honor is in his independence of people.”

Nay(But), you prefer the life of this world. Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. (87;16-17)
Imam Ahmad recorded from Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari that the Messenger of Allah said,
Whoever loves his worldly life, will suffer in his Hereafter, and whoever loves his Hereafter, will suffer in his worldly life. Therefore, chose that which is everlasting over that which is temporal.
And whatever you have been given is an enjoyment of the life of (this) world and its adornment, and that (Hereafter) which is with Allah is better and will remain forever. (28;60)
He will say: O woe to me, I wish I had sent good ahead for my life.
Surah Al-Fajr 89:24
This worldly life is nothing but diversion and amusement. Verily, the home of the Hereafter is the true life if only they knew.
Surah Al-Ankabut 29:64
O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter – that is the home of [permanent] settlement. (Ghafir [40] : 39)

Winter’s reflection
‘The Winter is the believer’s best season’.(Winter is the spring of the believer)
al-Bayhaqi and others mentioned the addition: ‘the nights are long for him to stand in them and its days are short for him to fast in them’d:

Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: I entered the room of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was lying on his side over a mat. I sat down as he drew up his lower garment and he was not wearing anything else. The mat had left marks on his side. I looked at the Prophet’s cupboard and I saw a handful of barely in a small amount, the same of mimosa leaves in the corner, and a leather bag hanging to the side. My eyes started to tear up, and the Prophet said, “What makes you weep, son of Khattab?” I said, “O Prophet of Allah, why should I not cry that this mat has left marks on your side and I see little in this cupboard? Caesar and Khosrau live among fruits and springs, while you are the Messenger of Allah and His chosen, yet this is your cupboard.” The Prophet said, “O son of Khattab, are you not pleased that they are for us in the Hereafter and for them in the world?” I said, “Of course.”
