AL-Quran

وَقُلْ جَاۤءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ ۖاِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوْقًا  ( الإسراء: ٨١ )

And say, “Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Falsehood is surely bound to vanish.”

بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِٱلْحَقِّ عَلَى ٱلْبَـٰطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُۥ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌۭ ۚ

Instead, We launch the truth against falsehood, which gets it smashed, and in no time it is gone(.21:18)

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ ١٩ >The blind and the sighted are not equal,

وَلَا ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتُ وَلَا ٱلنُّورُ ٢٠ >nor are darkness and light,

وَلَا ٱلظِّلُّ وَلَا ٱلْحَرُورُ ٢١ >nor shade and heat of the sun.

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَحْيَآءُ وَلَا ٱلْأَمْوَٰتُ ۚ>And the living and the dead are not alike

ظَهَرَ ٱلْفَسَادُ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ ٤١

Calamities have appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of the people have earned, so that He (Allah) makes them taste some of what they did, in order that they may return (to the right way).(30:41)

إِنَّ ٱلْحَسَنَـٰتِ يُذْهِبْنَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ذِكْرَىٰ لِلذَّٰكِرِينَ

Surely, good deeds erase bad deeds. That is a reminder for the mindful.(11:114).

Best Friends Circle

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ‏

الرَّجُلُ عَلَى دِينِ خَلِيلِهِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ أَحَدُكُمْ مَنْ يُخَالِلُ

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A man is upon the religion of his best friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends.”

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ

 إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا حُلْوَةٌ خَضِرَةٌ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ مُسْتَخْلِفُكُمْ فِيهَا فَيَنْظُرُ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ

فَاتَّقُوا الدُّنْيَا وَاتَّقُوا النِّسَاءَ فَإِنَّ أَوَّلَ فِتْنَةِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانَتْ فِي النِّسَاءِ

2742 صحيح مسلم كتاب الرقاق باب أكثر أهل الجنة الفقراء وأكثر أهل النار النساء وبيان الفتنة بالنساء

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The world is sweet and green. Verily, Allah will make you successors in it to see how you will behave. Beware of the world and beware of women. Verily, the first trial of the children of Israel was with women.”

عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ مُضْطَجِعٌ عَلَى حَصِيرٍ فَجَلَسْتُ فَأَدْنَى عَلَيْهِ إِزَارَهُ وَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ غَيْرُهُ وَإِذَا الْحَصِيرُ قَدْ أَثَّرَ فِي جَنْبِهِ فَنَظَرْتُ بِبَصَرِي فِي خِزَانَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَإِذَا أَنَا بِقَبْضَةٍ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ نَحْوِ الصَّاعِ وَمِثْلِهَا قَرَظًا فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْغُرْفَةِ وَإِذَا أَفِيقٌ مُعَلَّقٌ قَالَ فَابْتَدَرَتْ عَيْنَاىَ قَالَ‏

مَا يُبْكِيكَ يَا ابْنَ الْخَطَّابِ

قُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ وَمَا لِي لاَ أَبْكِي وَهَذَا الْحَصِيرُ قَدْ أَثَّرَ فِي جَنْبِكَ وَهَذِهِ خِزَانَتُكَ لاَ أَرَى فِيهَا إِلاَّ مَا أَرَى وَذَاكَ قَيْصَرُ وَكِسْرَى فِي الثِّمَارِ وَالأَنْهَارِ وَأَنْتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَصَفْوَتُهُ وَهَذِهِ خِزَانَتُكَ ‏فَقَالَ

‏ يَا ابْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَلاَ تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ لَنَا الآخِرَةُ وَلَهُمُ الدُّنْيَا قُلْتُ بَلَى

Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: I entered the room of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was lying on his side over a mat. I sat down as he drew up his lower garment and he was not wearing anything else. The mat had left marks on his side. I looked at the Prophet’s cupboard and I saw a handful of barely in a small amount, the same of mimosa leaves in the corner, and a leather bag hanging to the side. My eyes started to tear up, and the Prophet said, “What makes you weep, son of Khattab?” I said, “O Prophet of Allah, why should I not cry that this mat has left marks on your side and I see little in this cupboard? Caesar and Khosrau live among fruits and springs, while you are the Messenger of Allah and His chosen, yet this is your cupboard.” The Prophet said, “O son of Khattab, are you not pleased that they are for us in the Hereafter and for them in the world?” I said, “Of course.”

عَنْ ‌عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ اضْطَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى حَصِيرٍ فَأَثَّرَ فِي جَنْبِهِ فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْقَظَ جَعَلْتُ أَمْسَحُ جَنْبَهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا آذَنْتَنَا حَتَّى نَبْسُطَ لَكَ عَلَى الْحَصِيرِ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

مَا لِي وَلِلدُّنْيَا مَا أَنَا وَالدُّنْيَا إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الدُّنْيَا كَرَاكِبٍ ظَلَّ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ ثُمَّ رَاحَ وَتَرَكَهَا

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, laid down upon a reed mat and it left marks on his side. When he woke up, I started wiping his side, and I said, “O Messenger of Allah, why do you not let us spread something on top of this mat for you?” The Prophet said, “What is the world to me? What am I to the world? Verily, the parable of myself and this world is that of a rider who seeks shade under a tree, then he moves on and leaves it behind.”

Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler along a path.” Ibn Umar would say, “If you make it to the evening, do not wait for the morning. If you make it to the morning, do not wait for the evening. Take from your health for your sickness, and from your life for your death.”

Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: A man came to the Prophet and said, “O Messenger of Allah, tell me about a deed which will make Allah and people love me.” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Renounce the worldly life and Allah will love you. Renounce what people possess and people will love you.”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى مَلَائِكَةً سَيَّارَةً فُضُلًا يَتَتَبَّعُونَ مَجَالِسَ الذِّكْرِ فَإِذَا وَجَدُوا مَجْلِسًا فِيهِ ذِكْرٌ قَعَدُوا مَعَهُمْ وَحَفَّ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا بِأَجْنِحَتِهِمْ حَتَّى يَمْلَئُوا مَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا فَإِذَا تَفَرَّقُوا عَرَجُوا وَصَعِدُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ قَالَ فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ

مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ جِئْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِ عِبَادٍ لَكَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يُسَبِّحُونَكَ وَيُكَبِّرُونَكَ وَيُهَلِّلُونَكَ وَيَحْمَدُونَكَ وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ

قَالَ وَمَاذَا يَسْأَلُونِي قَالُوا يَسْأَلُونَكَ جَنَّتَكَ قَالَ وَهَلْ رَأَوْا جَنَّتِي قَالُوا لَا أَيْ رَبِّ قَالَ فَكَيْفَ لَوْ رَأَوْا جَنَّتِي قَالُوا وَيَسْتَجِيرُونَكَ قَالَ وَمِمَّ يَسْتَجِيرُونَنِي قَالُوا مِنْ نَارِكَ يَا رَبِّ قَالَ وَهَلْ رَأَوْا نَارِي قَالُوا لَا قَالَ فَكَيْفَ لَوْ رَأَوْا نَارِي قَالُوا وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَكَ قَالَ

فَيَقُولُ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَهُمْ فَأَعْطَيْتُهُمْ مَا سَأَلُوا وَأَجَرْتُهُمْ مِمَّا اسْتَجَارُوا

قَالَ فَيَقُولُونَ رَبِّ فِيهِمْ فُلَانٌ عَبْدٌ خَطَّاءٌ إِنَّمَا مَرَّ فَجَلَسَ مَعَهُمْ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ وَلَهُ غَفَرْتُ هُمْ الْقَوْمُ لَا يَشْقَى بِهِمْ جَلِيسُهُمْ

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah Almighty has caravans of angels who have no other work but to follow gatherings of remembrance. When they find such gatherings in which there is remembrance, they sit with them and some of them surround the others with their wings until the space between them and the heavens is covered. When they disperse, they ascend to the heavens and Allah Almighty asks them, although He knows better than them: From where have you come? They say: We came from Your servants on earth who were glorifying You, declaring Your greatness and oneness, praising You and asking from You. Allah says: What do they ask from Me? They say: They ask for Your Paradise. Allah says: Have they seen My Paradise? They say no. Allah says: What if they were to see My Paradise? They say: They seek Your protection. Allah says: From what do they seek My protection? They say: From Your Hellfire, our Lord. Allah says: Have they seen My Hellfire? They say no. Allah says: What if they were to see My Hellfire? They say: They ask for Your forgiveness. Allah says: I will pardon them, give them what they request, and grant them protection. They say: Our Lord, there is one among them, a simple servant who happened to pass by and sit there alongside them. Allah says: I will also grant him pardon, for whoever sits with these fellows will not suffer misery.”,Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6408, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2689 ,Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi (authentic) according to Al-Bukhari and Muslim

لَا يَقْعُدُ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَّا حَفَّتْهُمْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمْ الرَّحْمَةُ وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّكِينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمْ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No people gather to remember Allah Almighty but that the angels surround them, cover them with mercy, send tranquility upon them, and mention them to Allah among those near to Him.”

عن معاوية رضي الله عنه قال إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَى حَلْقَةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ مَا أَجْلَسَكُمْ قَالُوا جَلَسْنَا نَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ وَنَحْمَدُهُ عَلَى مَا هَدَانَا لِلْإِسْلَامِ وَمَنَّ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا قَالَ آللَّهِ مَا أَجْلَسَكُمْ إِلَّا ذَاكَ قَالُوا وَاللَّهِ مَا أَجْلَسَنَا إِلَّا ذَاكَ قَالَ أَمَا إِنِّي لَمْ أَسْتَحْلِفْكُمْ تُهْمَةً لَكُمْ وَلَكِنَّهُ

أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُبَاهِي بِكُمْ الْمَلَائِكَةَ

Mu’awiyah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to a gathering of his companions and he said, “Why are you sitting?” They said, “We are sitting to remember Allah and to praise him for guiding us to Islam and blessing us with it.” The Prophet said, “Only for Allah are you sitting for this?” They said, “By Allah, we are only sitting for this.” The Prophet said, “Verily, I did not ask you for an oath because I doubted you. Rather, Gabriel has told me that Allah Almighty is proud of you in front of the angels.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2701 ,Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim

Whoever visits a sick person, his safety is assured by Allah. Whoever visits the mosque in the morning or evening, his safety is assured by Allah. Whoever enters the dwelling of a prayer leader to honor him, his safety is assured by Allah. Whoever sits in his house and does not backbite any human being, his safety is assured by Allah.”

Abdullah ibn Amr reported: We performed the sunset prayer with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Some people left and some people stayed. The Prophet came back in a hurry, out of breath and holding his cloak above his shins. The Prophet said, “Rejoice! Your Lord has opened a gate to the heavens and He boasts to the angels, saying: Look at My servants! They have completed a prescribed prayer and they are waiting for another!”

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “No Muslim regularly attends the mosques to perform prayer and remember Allah, but Allah is delighted for him just as the family of one who was away, is delighted upon his return.”

Another Narration

عن أبي الدرداء – رضي الله عنه – قال: سمعت رسول الله – صلى الله عليه وسلم – يقول:

المسجدُ بيتُ كلِّ تقيٍّ ، وتكفَّلَ اللهُ لمَن كان المسجدُ بيتَهُ بالرُّوحِ والرَّحمةِ ، والجَوازِ على الصِّراطِ إلى رِضوانِ اللهِ ، إلى الجنَّةِ

: أخرجه القضاعي في ((مسند الشهاب)) (72) مختصراً، والبيهقي في ((شعب الإيمان)) (10657)، والديلمي في ((الفردوس)) (6655) باختلاف يسير.

Sayyiduna Abud Darda (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates, I heard Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) saying:‘The Masjid is the house of every pious person, and Allah guarantees mercy for the one who makes the Masjid his house [by frequenting it]. Allah also guarantees [safe] passage over the bridge of sirat and entry into Allah’s pleasure and Jannah for such people.’

Reference and Grade:

This Hadith has been recorded by Imams Bazzar, Tabarani and others (rahimahumullah) in their respective Hadith collections with slight variations in the wordings. The words in question are from Al-Mu’jamul Kabir’s version.Imam Bazzar (rahimahullah) has declared the chain sound (hasan).‘Allamah Mundhiri (rahimahullah) concurred with this.‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahullah) says: ‘The narrators of the narration of Bazzar are all authentic (rijalus sahih).(Musnad Bazzar, hadith: 4152, Al-Mu’jamul Kabir, al-Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 7145, Targhib, Hadith: 494 & Majma’uz Zawaid, vol.2 pg.22), Also see Majma’uz Zawaid, Hadith: 2054 for another similar Hadith.

Best jihad to build a mosque, teach good

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ

مَنْ دَخَلَ مَسْجِدَنَا هَذَا لِيَتَعَلَّمَ خَيْرًا أَوْ يُعَلِّمَهُ كَانَ كَالْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ لِغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ كَانَ كَالنَّاظِرِ إِلَى مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ

 أَحَبُّ الْبِلَادِ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَسَاجِدُهَا وَأَبْغَضُ الْبِلَادِ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَسْوَاقُهَا

Like fish in the water

المؤمن في المسجد كالسَّمك في الماء، والمنافق في المسجد كالطير في القفص

Mālik ibn Dīnār rahimahullāh has stated that a believer inside the masjid is like a fish in water and a munāfiq (hypocrite) in the masjid is like a bird in a cage. (Kashful Khafa, Hadith: 2689)
